The cutting and grinding lubricant is a specific lubricant designed for cutting and grinding.

Cutting: It is a processing mode that a cutter is used to cut off the excessive material layer on the processed work piece so that the work piece has a specified geometrical forms and dimensions and has certain appearance effect.

Grinding: It is a processing mode that a plurality of fine grains is used to grind the surface of the processed work piece so that the surface of the work piece can achieve certain effect.

 

 

Usage of cutting and grinding lubricant during the processing procedure

   1 Cooling means: After the cutting and grinding lubricants are poured on the position to be machined and ground, the heat on the tools, the processed pieces and the cutting and grinding chips is carried away by thermal conduction, convection and gasification during the cutting and grinding process so as to lower the temperature in the cutting and grinding zones and to achieve the cooling function.

  

 2 Lubricating means: The cutting and grinding liquid penetrates into the cutting and grinding areas, to produce adsorption and reaction on the contact surface between the tools and the cutting and grinding chips and processed work piece and form a lubricating film, which gives a lubrication function.In addition, the cutting and grinding lubricant also has the functions of cleaning, chip removal and rust prevention.

 

 

Types of cutting and grinding lubricants   

    1. Water soluble cutting and grinding lubricantIt is a lubricant, which is diluted in the water and applied on the work piece to generate certain action during the cutting and grinding processes.  

    2. Water insoluble cutting lubricant It is a lubricant, which is directly applied on the processed work piece to produce certain function during the cutting and grinding processes.
